There is a deep mystery about the two women of 28 and 32 who disappeared on Friday morning in the countryside of San Giuliano Milanese. Constant searches are underway by the carabinieri, the firefighters with the dog units and civil protection but, for now, no trace of the two. It all started when, at 11.30 on Friday, a young woman contacted 112 and, without giving her personal details, told the operator, in Arabic, that she was in a corn field near the border with San Donato.
According to the woman’s story, she and her friend were hit by a combine harvester; her friend had died, she was badly injured. Then the communication was interrupted and, from that moment, the telephone number was no longer reachable: in the meantime it was not possible to “hang up” while, during the phone call, the device had been located in via Toscana in San Giuliano, in the open countryside.
The searches started immediately, both on the ground and with the help of the 118 helicopters and the carabinieri. In the meantime, the military has started some investigations and managed to identify the women: both of Moroccan origin, they had told their families that they would return shortly thereafter and, in fact, their disappearance had not been reported.
Update – 3 July at 20.30
The searches finally ended around ten to eight on Saturday evening. And unfortunately in the worst way: the lifeless bodies of two young women corresponding to the people sought were found inside a corn field that runs along the Tangenziale Ovest, in the territory of San Giuliano.
