The flames continued to burn for five hours and required the intervention of specialized vehicles that extinguished the fire thanks to jets of water and nitrogen. It was not necessary to evacuate the people present on the platform, which is about 140 meters from the site of the explosion. It is unclear for the moment what environmental damage caused the spill.
