Milan, 1 July (Adnkronos) – “In Lombardy, according to still provisional data, between January and March 2021 the number of employed persons fell by 193 thousand, compared to a year earlier. In the age group between 14 and 24, the employment rate is 21%. It is an impressive figure in itself and in comparison with the German regions of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, where the employment rate is higher than 50%. A positive figure, on the other hand, is that of female employment in Milan, that with a 0.7% drop in employed women, compared with 1.8% for men, it represents an opposite trend to the national one. ”This was stated by the president of Assolombarda, Alessandro Spada, during the assembly.
“Milan is therefore – he underlined – a good example for the rest of the country, even if it still remains below the average of our European regions of reference. The PNRR has among its qualifying points the development of female employment, with an investment of 4.6 billion in kindergartens and preschools, plus other investments to extend full-time and school canteens “.
