Cisternino in Puglia, Cefalù in Sicily, Grottammare in the Marche, Brisighella in Emilia-Romagna and Nemi in Lazio are the protagonists of the “Borgo DiVino in tour” event, an initiative dedicated to the world of wine and food and wine tourism, promoted by the association “I Most beautiful villages in Italy “and organized by Valica, the first tourist marketing company in Italy. The traveling event takes place from July to September and is divided into 5 stages that allow you to discover and taste more than 400 labels of excellent wines from 100 different wineries scattered throughout our territory, starting from 5 of the most beautiful villages in Italy . In addition to wine tasting, presented directly by producers or professional sommeliers, there are also combinations of local or regional food and delicacies to be tasted in the alleys, squares, fortresses and in front of wonderful views of land and sea, to be explored at a slow pace and with a chalice in hand. The inaugural stage of Borgo DiVino, from 2 to 4 July, is Cisternino, one of the most loved “white villages” of Puglia, in the heart of the Itria Valley; from 9 to 11 July it is the turn of Cefalù, in the province of Palermo, one of the most famous views of the sea in Sicily. The third and fourth stages are on the Adriatic side: the ancient Marche village of Grottammare, scheduled from 23 to 25 July; and Brisighella, in the province of Ravenna, from 6 to 8 August. The final stage of the tour takes place from 10 to 12 September in Nemi, the Lazio village which, although not part of the association “The most beautiful villages in Italy”, was chosen as the historical location that hosted the previous 6 editions of Borgo DiVino. «Also for the summer of 2021» declared Fiorello Primi, president of the association “The most beautiful villages in Italy”, «the villages are candidates to be the favorite destinations of domestic tourism who choose to spend their holidays in safety to discover the most authentic and genuine Italy. The most beautiful villages in Italy are therefore preparing to welcome visitors with the offer that has always distinguished them: a mix of beauty, art, history, nature, traditions and food and wine excellence that tell the uniqueness of our territories and bring us back to our origins “.
