(ANSA) – ROME, 01 JUL – Lonely Planet launches the first podcast series dedicated to our country and starts with ‘Journey through the most beautiful villages in Italy in the Marche’. The first title in six 15-minute episodes, made in collaboration with the Association The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy in the Marche, will lead listeners to the discovery of as many small towns: Gradara, Sassoferrato, Sarnano, Offida, Montecassiano and Corinaldo.
After more than 15 years of radio travel in collaboration with the Capital in the World program broadcast by Radio Capital and hosted by Doris Zaccone, the publisher’s natural choice was to embrace the seriality and listening flexibility offered by the podcasts that , thanks to the episodic structure and the neutrality with respect to listening devices and platforms, they are an ideal tool to describe a destination. “The choice of narrating a territory also through a podcast series is part of a precise strategy aimed at experimenting with new languages and offering travelers an increasingly broad ecosystem of travel tools alongside the video projects’ 48ore a .. ‘and’ Italia on the Road ‘launched during the Covid-19 emergency “explains Angelo Pittro, director of Lonely Planet Italia.
“We are also pleased – continues Pittro – that the first series is dedicated to the most beautiful villages of the Marche, a territory much loved by our readers and which in 2020 obtained the important Best in Travel award. We strongly believe in this new format and we are already working on a new series that will take us beyond national borders “. The format, which uses the storytelling and the voice of Doris Zaccone, stands as a new tool to accompany and advise visitors by providing the practical information that characterizes the Lonely Planet contents, integrating them with the story and advice of those who were born or have chosen to live in these places.
“To carry out this project – comments Doris Zaccone – the participation of the association and the local people was indispensable. Without their stories and their enthusiasm it would not have been the same”. The episodes will be published starting from 2 July every Friday for three weeks on the page https://www.lonelyplanetitalia.it/podcast/borghi-marche and on all the main streaming platforms. (HANDLE).
