Registration for the weekend event of the seventh edition is open on the Expo per lo sport website. After last year’s success, Expo per lo Sport returns to Parco Sempione from 30 August to 5 September. This was communicated by the Municipality of Milan. But what is Expo for sport? It is a week dedicated to sport for children and teenagers. The goal is to promote movement and a healthy lifestyle among the very young.
Expo for Sport, the usual formula confirmed
Therefore, Expo per lo Sport still chooses the period of the return to school and the Sempione Park. And, before the event open to the public on 4 and 5 September, the five days of the free Summer Center scheduled from 30 August to 3 September are also confirmed. In fact, the organization continues its commitment alongside the Municipality of Milan in the Milan Summer School project, to build a proposal suitable for this delicate moment of recovery.
An opportunity for the little ones
“A virtuous collaboration between public and private is renewed. Expo per lo Sport is a project that for several years has contributed to enriching the city’s offer of opportunities for children, combining sociality and education in sports practice. Two elements that the Milanese boys and girls have unfortunately had to give up in this last year. A return to face-to-face meetings which, we are sure, will be greatly appreciated and which will contribute to spreading the values of sport, a fundamental element for the growth of aware adults “. Underlined Laura Galimberti, councilor for education, and Roberta Guaineri, councilor for sport.
Expo for Sport at the Civic Arena
Milanese families can use this service for free. The Summer Center will be structured in small groups of age groups between 6 and 14 years and will take place inside the Arena Civica, in half-day shifts. To ensure the safety of the participants, the Summer Center will be by reservation and with a limited number. The format is the characteristic one of Expo for Sport and will offer children and teenagers a multisport experience full of fun, with many disciplines to discover, thanks to the guidance of federal educators and technicians.
The appointment with the event open to the public is for the weekend of 4 and 5 September inl Sempione Park. Which for the occasion will become a small Olympic village in the open air. Here budding athletes will be able to try their hand at more than 30 sports, from the most traditional to the most particular and less known ones.
